Zero Plastic Ocean University, in collaboration with GIS Solution Pvt. Ltd., is set to launch a crucial survey aimed at identifying polluted beaches as part of the Coastal Guardians Initiative. This initiative, aligned with World Ocean Day, seeks to assess the extent of pollution on our coastlines and determine the necessity for future cleanup projects.
Scheduled to take place from the 14th of June to the 24th of June in 2024, the survey will involve comprehensive assessments of various beaches to gather data on the levels of pollution present. By leveraging Geographic Information System (GIS) technology and expertise, the initiative aims to provide detailed insights into the state of our coastal environments.
The Coastal Guardians Initiative underscores the importance of understanding and addressing beach pollution, a pressing issue that threatens marine ecosystems and wildlife. Through this survey, Zero Plastic Ocean University and GIS Solution Pvt. Ltd. demonstrate their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
