Pen Bin Love – SIBA Zero Plastic Community

On March 26, 2025, the SIBA Zero Plastic Community launched the Pen Bin Love Project, promoting the responsible disposal and recycling of used pens. This initiative engaged students, lecturers, and volunteers, emphasizing environmental conservation beyond the SIBA Campus.

The project set up four collection boxes at key locations: the campus office, Dancing Faculty, IT Faculty, and BBM Department. These points made it easy for students and staff to contribute used pens, reducing plastic waste. Collected pens were refurbished and refilled to minimize waste and offer a cost-effective alternative to buying new ones.

To encourage participation, three individuals who contributed pens were selected and rewarded with special gifts, raising awareness of recycling efforts.

The SIBA Zero Plastic Community continues to inspire sustainable practices. The project has encouraged students to rethink waste disposal and paved the way for future eco-friendly initiatives. The team aims to expand its impact by collaborating with other institutions to further reduce plastic waste.
