Solutions for the “Plastic Problem”

When you hear the term “Plastic pollution,” what do you feel? Did you feel something guilty about yourself? If your answer is “Yes,” at least you have understood the current pathetic situation in the world. If your answer is “No,” it is so sad to identify you as a “human being.”
According to the UN Environment Program (UNEP), 300 million tonnes of plastic is produced every year, and not all of it is recycled. To put that into perspective, that’s equivalent to the weight of the entire human population.
Most of the time you are reading and listening about “Plastic pollution.” Therefore, that term also has become a common term in the world. Even though it has become a common term, people do not think about solutions for this problem. Now this “Plastic problem” has become a major threat to the world. If we take more time to think about solutions, we won’t have a world to come up with those solutions. This is the most suitable time to avoid plastic and change our habit to use alternatives for plastic. We can used to use eco-friendly products.
So, let’s change our habbits
Fortunately, in Sri Lanka, we do not have to waste time thinking about solutions. Zero Plastic National Movement has already introduced timely solutions for this “Plastic problem.” You all are invited to join hands with *Zeroplastic National Movement*
