sustainability. This article focuses on A boot camp session aimed to educate students about the alarming impact of
plastic on our environment.
On the 13th of June 2024, a boot camp session called “Sayurala – Phase 2, Step 02” held at the Panadura Agamathi Balika Vidyalaya. The session aimed to educate students about the alarming impact of plastic on our environment and inspire them to take action towards reducing plastic pollution.
Plastic pollution is a global concern that affects our oceans, wildlife, and human health. The boot camp session will provide students with valuable knowledge on the impact of plastic on the environment and the importance of reducing plastic usage. Through interactive activities and discussions, students learned about practical ways to minimize their plastic footprint and make eco-friendly choices in their daily lives.
The Sayurala – Phase 2, Step 02 boot camp session is part of a larger initiative called Sayurala, which is a youth-led movement that aims to create a sustainable future for Sri Lanka. The movement focuses on raising awareness about environmental issues and empowering young people to take action towards creating a cleaner and greener future.
By organizing this boot camp session, the Sayurala movement demonstrates their commitment to environmental conservation and their dedication to spreading awareness about the importance of sustainable living. They believe that educating young people about the impact of plastic pollution is crucial in creating a more sustainable and plastic-free future.
The boot camp session will provide students with an opportunity to engage in discussions, ask questions, and exchange ideas with like-minded individuals who share a common goal of reducing plastic pollution. The event fosters a sense of community and encourages collaboration in finding innovative solutions to tackle the plastic problem.
Through the Sayurala – Phase 2, Step 02 boot camp session, students will be inspired to make conscious decisions that contribute to a cleaner and greener future. By promoting sustainable living, the session aims to empower young people to take small but impactful steps towards reducing plastic pollution and preserving our planet’s natural resources.
