Sustain Session 2.0

On March 25th, 2024, marine enthusiasts and environmental advocates convened virtually via Zoom for the impactful “Sustain Session 2.0 – Blue Wave: A Plastic-Free Future”. Organized by the Zero Plastic – Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and led by Mr. Isuru Dapsara Kularathna, University Coordinator of the Zero Plastic National Movement, the event galvanized attendees with passionate discussions and profound insights into the perils of plastic pollution.

Throughout the two-hour session, participants delved into the intricate lifecycle of plastics, their detrimental effects on ecosystems, and the alarming presence of microplastics in our oceans. Mr. Kularathna’s expertise illuminated strategies for combatting plastic pollution, emphasizing the urgent need for collective action to safeguard marine life and human well-being.
