What environment do you want live? Sure you dont want to live in a environment ruled by plastic. Hope I am right. As the younger generation its our duty to express our contributuion for the mother nature against the war with plastic.
To fullfill their duties, an inspiring effort to promote environmental sustainability, a group of dedicated young filmmakers has released a short film titled “Say No to Plastic” in celebration of the International Day of Zero Waste. Scripted by the talented Dhamika Wijerathna, this poignant film underscores the urgent need to reduce plastic waste and adopt more sustainable practices in our daily lives.
Directed by the dynamic duo Roshen Senaweera and Tharinduni Peramuna, the film delves into the detrimental effects of plastic pollution on the environment. Senaweera and Wijerathna also showcase their versatile talents by taking charge of the film’s cinematography and editing. Their combined efforts ensure that the film not only delivers a strong message but does so with aesthetic appeal and technical finesse.
The film’s cast includes Chamodi Ranasinghe, Sugandika Dilrukshi, Ravindra Wijerathna, Irosh Liyanage, and Roshen Senaweera. Each actor brings a unique dimension to the narrative, portraying the impact of plastic waste on various facets of life and emphasizing the collective responsibility we share in mitigating this issue.
