Green Biz Spotlights: Empowering Entrepreneurs for a Greener Future
The ZeroPlastic Community at The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has recently spearheaded an eco-friendly initiative, demonstrating the university’s unwavering commitment to fostering a vibrant ecosystem of environmentally conscious businesses and individuals.
Our organization proudly highlights success stories like “Thambapanni” and “Smart Solution,” two eco-entrepreneurs who have benefited from our support. Their innovative products, including hand-printed raw handbags, eco pens, eco brushes, and eco bottles, have significantly reduced plastic waste. These ventures illustrate the profound environmental impact that can be achieved through creativity and dedication.
Additionally, as part of this advanced project, we are offering undergraduates the opportunity to showcase and promote their eco-friendly businesses through the ZeroPlastic OUSL Facebook page. This platform aims to drive sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
Building on this momentum, we are thrilled to introduce our latest project, “GreenBiz Spotlights
” This initiative aims to empower eco-entrepreneurs on a grander scale by offering comprehensive resources and mentorship. Our vision extends to nurturing eco-friendly small businesses among students, fostering a new generation of environmentally conscious entrepreneurs.
Our ultimate goal is to create a lasting and significant environmental impact. By supporting sustainable businesses through GreenBiz Spotlights,we aspire to inspire the widespread adoption of eco-friendly practices and products, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future for our planet.
